Design
Completed in 1922, the seven-storey building was built on a site steeped in history: Victor Hugo lived there as a child, and the current building has been home to notable tenants such as the Alfonsos, a famous dynasty of photojournalists.
Now magnificently restored, the architecture resonates with Philippe Starck’s vision of the 1920s and 1930s. Each space, each detail, each material, each object conveys a modern nostalgia, the contrasting soul of Spain: the telluric strength of the lobby, paved entirely in terracotta, counterbalances the weightlessness of the celestial whites in the spa & sports club, while the restaurant’s rustic, woven-leather ceilings counter the sophistication of an art gallery window…
Rooms & Suites
Right in the heart of the city, Brach Madrid is a reflection of its guests: unique, magnetic, romantic, arty for a city break, a family holiday or a romantic weekend… The decor of the 57 rooms and suites takes you on a dreamlike journey, a highly emotional feeling of intimacy, while the wood panelling, leather, pottery and wickerwork ensure that the rooms have the softness and warmth of the sun.
The Restaurant
As you enter the Brach restaurant, you can imagine Salvador Dalí, Luis Buñuel and Federico García Lorca sitting here, rewriting the world as poets. Philippe Starck has recreated the atmosphere of the grand cafés, the hotbed of intellectual and artistic freedom. A jumble of paintings in eclectic styles and a collection of beautiful objects give the illusion of entering a place that belongs to the past, endowed with a “poetic memory”. The open kitchen infuses the restaurant with all the energy of Chef Adam Bentalha’s vibrant cuisine.
Spa & Sports Club
Half mystical, half futuristic, the Spa & Sports Club is an intimate, luxurious sanctuary in the heart of Brach Madrid, bursting with life. Much more than a luxurious spa, it is a place of transformation and personal discovery.
Embellished with gold, the pure white palette of over 400 m2 of space is a blank canvas for the body and mind in search of well-being. The Spa & Sports Club invites you to enjoy a totally new holistic experience.
